Grandad and I prevailed over the kids' calls to go to the park. We went to a park, but it was Quarry Lakes rather than the Golden Gate Bridge park (their favorite). At first there was some moaning, but Grandad quickly helped them get into the spirit by demonstrating how to throw rocks into one of the lakes. They both couldn't gather pebbles fast enough!
Here's a photo of Grandad helping Taryn back up to the path.
Afterwards Nia found a tree covered in tiny seeds that she called "bells". She picked herself some bells, but they were so tiny that she managed to lose them before we got back to the car. I told her a pixie must have taken them.
And a last photo right before we left (with me!).
